The other night as I was busy living my life, I received an unexpected phone call from a friend who is now in the US. I was surprise to hear from Ken - it's been a long time since I last heard from him (probably because I rarely kept in touch). We had a talk about love and relationships since he was asking me for advice and then he told me some of his plans on how to woo the girl he is in love with. My friend is somewhat of a romantic guy and his plans are truly the kind of sweep me off my feet type. This made me think about how I used to wish that I would have a boyfriend just like that. But then as I got a little older and a little more experienced in the game of love, I realized... I realized that love is never about those sweep me off my feet, kilig moments. It's not even the most important basis in a relationship. Love means giving oneself completely, unselfishly to the person you are with. Love means working things out and holding on even on the hardest times. Love means accepting someone for who they are. That's what love is all about because in the long run, the balloons and the roses may all go away but the real magic of love will stay.
